Description

  • Collaborate with Localization Managers and Project Managers to assess risks, create quality plans, and review their effectiveness.
  • Analyze quality performance data, produce actionable reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Promote consistent quality standards and processes across projects, languages, and localization teams.
  • Develop and deliver training and guidance for internal linguists, external vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Validate and finalize quality evaluations, apply scoring frameworks consistently, and resolve evaluation disputes.
  • Support Project Managers in providing constructive, actionable feedback to external resources.
  • Improve quality tools and workflows, including the Quality Evaluation Portal, translation evaluation systems, and automated QA checks.
  • Contribute to root-cause analysis for quality incidents and client complaints, and evaluate preventive actions.
  • Assist with onboarding and testing new linguists against quality standards.
  • Use generative AI tools such as Gemini to streamline analysis, reporting, and CAPA drafting.

Requirements

  • Based in an Asian time zone and able to work closely with regional teams and vendors.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a related role within the localization industry.
  • Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Native-level Korean, Japanese, or Chinese and excellent English proficiency preferred.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to provide clear, actionable feedback.
  • Experience working effectively with distributed, multicultural teams.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for extracting, processing, and interpreting data.
  • Familiarity with translation quality evaluation frameworks and systems, such as MQM, and CAT tools.
  • Knowledge of localization quality-control processes and industry best practices.
  • Hands-on experience using Gemini for productivity, process improvement, and problem-solving; experience with linguistic arbitration and audio localization is desirable.
