Description

  • Partner with the Clinical Sales Manager to achieve shared territory goals by facilitating adoption and informed clinical use of Karius tests.
  • Deliver clinical and scientific expertise in customer-facing engagements to drive demand, remove adoption barriers, and position Karius tests as critical diagnostic tools.
  • Lead and tailor presentations (e.g., Grand Rounds, ASP meetings, M&M discussions, dinner programs) using peer-reviewed literature, case studies, and approved resources.
  • Engage multidisciplinary stakeholders (physicians, pharmacists, nurses, lab directors, infection control) to identify champions and shape decision-making.
  • Support integration of Karius tests into clinical workflows, protocols, and laboratory operations at customer sites.
  • Partner with marketing and training teams to identify content needs, develop messaging, and refine tools based on real-world clinical feedback.
  • Establish and grow Centers of Excellence by helping sites achieve optimal clinical use and leveraging those models to influence broader adoption.
  • Gather and relay field insights to inform commercial strategy, product positioning, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Monitor clinical and scientific developments in infectious disease diagnostics and translate insights into actionable field strategies.
  • Represent Karius at conferences and professional meetings to build brand visibility, develop relationships, and capture feedback.

Requirements

  • Advanced clinical degree required (PA-C, NP, PharmD, MD/DO).
  • Measurable clinical experience as a healthcare provider or clinical pharmacist required.
  • Familiarity with infectious disease treatment and management is required.
  • Understanding of microbiology/virology and common diagnostic modalities (PCR, culture methods, serologies) is required.
  • Knowledge of medical and laboratory structure and hierarchy is required.
  • Clinical experience with hematology/oncology, infectious disease, transplant, or intensive care is preferred.
  • Sales experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of laboratory workflow and fiscal operations is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cfDNA technology is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively (travel required up to 70%) with the ability to perform field work (extended periods of sitting/standing).
  • Strong presentation skills, ability to communicate technical information to varied audiences, entrepreneurial mindset, and high ethical standards.

Benefits

  • Salary range: $124,000 - $186,000 per year.
  • Full-time position with remote/field-based work.
