Description

  • Monitor SIEM, endpoint detection, cloud security, and log management tools for alerts, anomalies, and suspicious activity.
  • Review security notifications in real time to identify potential threats and incidents.
  • Perform initial incident triage, assessment, escalation, and coordination with cloud, infrastructure, and development teams.
  • Collect and preserve forensic evidence during security investigations.
  • Document incident details, response actions, root cause analysis, and lessons learned.
  • Support improvements to security tooling and operational processes to reduce MTTD and MTTR.
  • Assist with automation of repetitive security tasks using PowerShell or Python.
  • Conduct routine vulnerability scans across infrastructure and applications.
  • Validate vulnerability findings and communicate remediation needs to engineering and development teams.
  • Track remediation progress and support cross-team communication during active security events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or development.
  • Strong exposure to system administration and/or network infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of operating system platforms, especially Windows, and core network infrastructure concepts.
  • Working knowledge of security tools and cloud-native security best practices.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell or Python for scripting, automation, and process improvement.
  • Security certifications such as Security+, PenTest+, CySA+, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Availability to participate in incident response and threat monitoring support, including after-hours.

  • Base salary range of $76,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on knowledge, location, skills, and experience.
