Description

  • Implement NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171 security controls into system design and platform architecture.
  • Lead system hardening and secure configuration across platform components.
  • Embed security into the engineering workflow through DevSecOps practices.
  • Perform system patching, STIG implementation, and validation activities.
  • Conduct vulnerability scanning using ACAS/Nessus and track remediation efforts.
  • Manage POA&Ms and remediation tracking for security findings.
  • Partner with engineering teams to secure APIs, services, and data pipelines.
  • Enforce least privilege and identity and access controls across the platform.
  • Support deployment into SIPR, JWICS, and SAP environments.
  • Identify and remediate security gaps before they reach customer environments.

Requirements

  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility is required; Polygraph is preferred.
  • DoD 8570/8140 certification is required; Security+ is the minimum acceptable certification, with CISSP, CASP+, or CISM preferred.
  • 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with hands-on implementation work.
  • Direct experience with NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, DISA STIGs, and ACAS/Nessus.
  • Background in Systems Administration, Network Engineering, or SOC work that transitioned into security.
  • Experience working in classified environments such as SIPR, JWICS, or SAP.
  • Ability to move between low-level system configuration and high-level security architecture decisions.
  • Comfort working manually and in detail-oriented tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Track record of stability, with 2+ years per role preferred.
  • Comfort working in a startup environment and owning problems end to end.

Benefits

  • Annual salary of $116,000 to $174,000.
  • May be additionally eligible for a stipend, one-time incentive, or clearance differential.
