Description

  • Lead the architecture, security, and stability of the GCP platform to support 100% year-on-year growth.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 3-5 senior and mid-level backend engineers.
  • Drive technical cost optimisation and resource management as the platform scales.
  • Design robust integrations with external partner APIs, including diverse authentication mechanisms and resilient data patterns.
  • Partner with the CTO and Director of Engineering to align technical execution with business goals.
  • Refine engineering practices across infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and security audit readiness.
  • Prevent major production incidents through strong operational excellence and platform governance.
  • Lead the adoption of agentic AI workflows across the backend and platform team.

Requirements

  • Proven technical leadership experience as a Lead or Senior Engineer.
  • Experience managing scaling challenges in a high-growth startup environment, ideally.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform.
  • Expert-level understanding of Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Experience architecting platforms that integrate with third-party APIs.
  • Experience working with robust authentication protocols.
  • Passion for mentoring and managing engineers.
