Description

  • Ensure operating projects meet availability and production targets by identifying, prioritizing, and resolving plant performance issues.
  • Uphold safety and compliance standards across all sites and reinforce a strong culture of operational discipline.
  • Apply root cause analysis methodologies and lead remediation programs to prevent repeat issues and improve long-term reliability.
  • Direct daily field operations from planning through execution across a geographically distributed operating portfolio.
  • Oversee field personnel and third-party O&M providers, including performance management and vendor selection.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, processes, and standardized best practices while adapting to site-specific needs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Asset Management, EHS, Finance, Trading, Legal, and Development to support seamless operations and communicate plant performance to executives.
  • Manage operational budgets and forecasts, handle warranty claims and technical discussions with OEMs/contractors, and support long-term portfolio planning and scaling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of operations management experience for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage systems (PV and BESS).
  • Deep knowledge of PV and BESS technologies, including system design, operations, and maintenance.
  • Experience operating assets within CAISO or ERCOT markets.
  • Proven success leading large, geographically distributed field teams and managing third-party O&M providers.
  • Extensive experience working with OEMs and contractors on warranty claims and technical issue resolution.
  • Hands-on expertise with root cause analysis, remediation programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience building, documenting, and improving operational processes and procedures.
  • Budgeting and financial management experience across operating portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of energy market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, safety requirements, and the ability to communicate complex operational issues to technical and executive audiences.

  • Total compensation USD $200,000–$220,000 (base + bonus).
