Description

  • Lead the finance workstream for retailer deal flow across the full partnership lifecycle.
  • Set financial strategy, pricing philosophy, and deal guardrails for retailer partnerships.
  • Build financial models and decision frameworks for complex commercial agreements.
  • Advise senior leaders during negotiations with C-suite and VP-level counterparts.
  • Develop partner- and portfolio-level P&Ls, forecasts, and KPI reporting.
  • Create scalable deal desk, pricing architecture, and rate card processes.
  • Build dashboards to quantify tradeoffs, surface risks, and support investment decisions.
  • Track post-close performance and evaluate portfolio-level investments and go/no-go decisions.
  • Collaborate with Partnerships, Legal, Revenue Operations, Accounting, Product, Deal Desk, Data Science, and Analytics.
  • Support and raise the modeling rigor, business judgment, and executive storytelling of analysts and managers on the team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of recent experience in strategic finance, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting.
  • Significant experience supporting deal flow, business development, or commercial partnerships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven ownership of finance workstreams for high-volume, complex commercial agreements end-to-end.
  • Experience negotiating with C-suite and VP-level executives and structuring terms that balance growth and unit economics.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including multi-scenario and sensitivity analysis.
  • Strong command of accounting fundamentals and unit economics.
  • Ability to build, reconcile, and present partner- and portfolio-level P&Ls and cash flow impacts.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for executive audiences.
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience at a marketplace, platform, gig economy, grocery delivery, or consumer internet company preferred.
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with BI tools and AI workflows preferred.
  • Experience building pricing frameworks, rate card architecture, and enterprise-scale deal desk processes preferred.
  • Familiarity with revenue recognition and partnership accounting for multi-element arrangements preferred.
  • Experience managing a fast-moving pipeline with multiple concurrent deals and cross-functional stakeholders preferred.
