Description

  • Contribute to the vision, strategy, and development of the multi-platform reporting system.
  • Build world-class reporting solutions across multiple platforms for advertisers and retailers.
  • Advocate for data quality, correctness, scalability, and latency standards across the organization.
  • Spearhead new initiatives and contribute to product and infrastructure features.
  • Code and document system components and maintain platform functionality.
  • Write and review system design documents.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather and understand customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant metrics delivery and ETL systems.
  • Support petabyte-scale data processing and reporting for billing, strategic decision-making, and partner management.
  • Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent proven industry experience (4+ years).
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Comprehensive understanding of distributed systems.
  • Experience with data processing technologies such as DBT and Airflow.
  • Experience with common web frameworks such as Rails.
  • Highly proficient with SQL and able to write and review complex queries for data analysis and debugging.
  • Ability to design for scale with the entire system in mind.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills.
  • Strong ownership mentality when working with a large codebase and diverse product suite.
  • Prior work experience in the digital advertising industry (preferred).
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Flink, Hive, or Kafka, and with both streaming and batch data pipelines (preferred).
  • Proven experience with distributed system design (preferred).
  • Strong general programming and algorithm skills (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and edge-case awareness in implementation and code reviews (preferred).
  • Data-driven mindset (preferred).
  • Must be eligible to work remotely in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, or Nova Scotia.
