Description

  • Serve as the key finance partner for Instacart’s International expansion, owning end-to-end forecasting, business planning, and performance management.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to evaluate market entry opportunities and assess investment trade-offs.
  • Build and refine complex financial models to support scenario planning and executive decision-making.
  • Analyze market dynamics, unit economics, and operational performance across countries to generate actionable insights.
  • Own the monthly and quarterly actuals vs. forecast process for International, including variance analysis and leadership presentations.
  • Translate financial performance into clear business narratives that connect drivers to outcomes and inform forecast updates.
  • Provide clear recommendations to senior leadership to support strategic decisions and global growth planning.
  • Establish structure and adapt processes as the International business evolves in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, FP&A, or another analytical field supporting high-growth public technology companies.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data-driven decision support.
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Clear, polished communication skills with experience preparing and presenting executive-ready materials to VP and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Ability to build trusted partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment and navigate ambiguity with confidence.
  • Experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, Strategic Finance, investment banking, investing, consulting, equity research, or data science/analytics is preferred.
  • Prior experience working in consumer marketplace or SaaS businesses is preferred.
  • Experience operating in a public company environment is preferred.
  • Interest in leveraging AI and automation tools to improve workflows, efficiency, and insights is preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL or other analytical query languages is preferred.

Benefits

  • Flexible remote work under Instacart’s Flex First policy.
  • Highly market-competitive compensation and benefits.
  • Base salary range of $176,000–$185,500 USD for CA, NY, CT, and NJ.
  • Base salary range of $168,000–$177,500 USD for WA.
  • Base salary range of $161,000–$170,000 USD for selected states and DC.
  • Base salary range of $147,000–$155,000 USD for all other states.
  • Eligibility for a new hire equity grant.
  • Eligibility for annual refresh equity grants.
