Description

  • Submit timely, clean claims using accurate CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 codes, and modifiers.
  • Track and resolve denials, rejections, and underpayments through follow-up and resubmission.
  • Validate patient eligibility, authorizations, and appropriate billing pathways.
  • Review provider documentation, assign codes, and identify coding gaps or documentation needs.
  • Educate providers and support documentation improvements, macros, and encounter note templates.
  • Maintain the billing rules matrix covering payers, states, provider types, and modifiers.
  • Collaborate with Data & Analytics, Revenue Cycle, Clinical Operations, credentialing, partner success, and payer representatives.
  • Monitor claim trends, documentation compliance, and accounts receivable performance.
  • Support provider training, compliance education, and evolving billing initiatives.

Requirements

  • AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required; credentials are verified before an offer.
  • 3–5 years of physician billing and coding experience; pediatric experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Athena EMR and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, HEDIS, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
  • Experience with telehealth billing, value-based care, capitation models, and quality measures preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and communicate effectively across teams.
  • Commitment to pediatric healthcare and participation in a diverse, values-driven workplace.

  • Salary range of $55,000–$65,000.
