Description

  • Collaborate with the Data Conversion Test Lead and government client to plan, train, and test data conversion activities for the financial system implementation.
  • Coordinate with other vendors to adjudicate, resolve, and close data conversion testing issues.
  • Review and update the testing plan for data conversion components across implementation wave releases.
  • Develop and execute manual and automated test scripts for data conversion testing.
  • Document test results, identify defects, and prepare testing summary reports.
  • Maintain and prioritize the testing defect log shared with the government client and other vendors.
  • Reconcile pre-conversion and post-conversion financial balances.
  • Validate that legacy fields map correctly to Momentum data structures and business rules.
  • Support mock conversions, validate load performance, and confirm converted data is ready for go-live operations.
  • Perform deep data conversion validation, including source-to-target mapping, data profiling and cleansing, transformation rule validation, and interface file format testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 8 years of experience supporting Momentum and/or financial data conversion activities at a large federal agency.
  • At least 4 years of experience executing system performance and data validation tests, documenting results, and identifying issues.
  • Documented experience conducting deep data conversion validation testing.
  • Experience leading mock system conversions and verifying readiness for go-live.
  • Knowledge of financial data conversion testing strategies and methodologies.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a challenging, high-visibility environment.
  • Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
  • Preferred: Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • Preferred: Experience with Agility for testing.
  • Preferred: Experience with financial data and standard financial reporting, such as balance sheets.
  • Preferred: Experience developing and executing automated testing scripts using VA-approved tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Eggplant, or Katalon.
