Description

  • Design, build, and deliver trustworthy production agents that investigate, reason over, and act on live observability data.
  • Own agent development end to end, from scoping and prototyping through deployment, maintenance, and evaluation.
  • Develop agents that leverage Honeycomb’s high-cardinality data store for cross-service correlation, trace analysis, and deployment comparisons.
  • Extend Canvas, the MCP server, and Canvas Skills with capabilities such as memory, spatial awareness, and improved Bedrock-loop performance.
  • Define measurable standards for agent quality, maintainability, reliability, and limitations.
  • Contribute to full-stack product development and support the broader Canvas product.
  • Evaluate emerging agent approaches and determine product direction through working prototypes.
  • Build systems that support collaborative investigations, automated alert analysis, and domain-specific operational skills.

Requirements

  • Experience shipping LLM-based or AI agent systems that users relied on in production.
  • Ability to take systems from rough prototypes to production-grade implementations with end-to-end ownership.
  • Deep understanding of agent architecture and how data-store performance and cardinality affect agent reasoning.
  • Current, informed perspectives on recent advances in agent design, particularly from the past 6–12 months.
  • Strong product judgment and ability to identify and prototype the next valuable agent capabilities.
  • Experience designing evaluations for agent quality and measuring meaningful improvements.
  • Observability or developer-tools experience (preferred).
  • Familiarity with evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and prompt engineering (preferred).
  • Eligibility to work without current visa sponsorship or transfer support.
