Description

  • Lead the R&D and GTM FP&A functions and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on major business decisions.
  • Develop, own, and improve the strategic planning and forecasting process for R&D and GTM investments.
  • Provide financial insights and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives, resource allocation, and investment decisions.
  • Build operational and financial models to quantify ROI and trade-offs between growth and profitability.
  • Lead cross-functional financial projects and align R&D and GTM on budgeting, resource planning, and strategic goals.
  • Define and track KPIs and productivity metrics across R&D and GTM to improve accountability and transparency.
  • Hire, mentor, and guide finance team members while building scalable team structures, workflows, and governance models.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to use AI-based tools to streamline forecasting, analysis, and finance processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA, CFA, CA, or equivalent advanced qualification is preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate strategy at a high-growth tech company.
  • At least 5+ years of leadership or management experience.
  • Public company experience is a plus.
  • Strong ability to tell a story with data and simplify complex topics to influence decision making.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including experience with executive teams, board members, and investors.
  • Strong business partnering experience with both financial and non-financial leaders.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills, including bottoms-up modeling and connecting unit economics to business impact.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS and usage-based business models and metrics; SMB market experience is a plus.
  • Advanced experience with financial planning tools such as Anaplan or Adaptive Insights, as well as AI tools and BI tools.
  • Track record of using AI to improve forecasting methodologies or drive process improvements.
  • Ability to operate both in the details and at a strategic level, and to work effectively in ambiguous situations.
  • Bias toward action, strong work ethic, and player-coach mentality with experience driving operational outcomes under tight timelines.
