Description

  • Manage category operations for inbound supply chain including supplier management, forecasting, purchasing, delivery tracking, and KPI management for food and/or packaging.
  • Own and drive key performance metrics such as On Time, In Full (OTIF), Waste, ASN Compliance, and customer error rates.
  • Partner closely with suppliers and internal teams (Forecasting, Procurement, Warehouse, Inventory) to ensure category excellence and fulfillment of customer requirements.
  • Define and execute audit checks to ensure orders are complete and accurate before sending to suppliers.
  • Anticipate and resolve supply chain risks and raise additional purchase orders as required to maintain fulfillment.
  • Manage supplier queries and performance through clear communication, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Advise and support more junior Purchasing Coordinators on best practices and problem solving.
  • Identify and drive improvements in technology and automation to increase efficiency and propose practical solutions.
  • Maintain data confidentiality, identify and correct data inaccuracies, and uphold the integrity of business records.
  • Support additional day-to-day tasks, deputise other category areas, cover absences, and remain flexible to changing duties as business needs vary.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 24 months’ experience as a Purchasing Coordinator or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in category management of inbound supply chain operations, including forecasting, purchasing, delivery tracking, and KPI management for food and/or packaging.
  • Proven experience owning KPIs such as OTIF, Waste, ASN Compliance, and customer error reduction.
  • Expertise operating Microsoft Office programs and familiarity with Google Suite; experience with ERP/MRP systems is preferred.
  • Fluent English required; additional European languages (German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian) are a plus.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to work with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Experience mentoring or advising junior colleagues and supporting broader team coverage when required.
