Description

  • Define the quality strategy and measurement approach for the clinical platform across workflows, configurations, integrations, and clinical decision support.
  • Design validation architecture, including test data strategies, environment management, automation frameworks, and CI/CD integration.
  • Improve release confidence by shifting validation earlier in the development lifecycle and strengthening release predictability.
  • Participate directly in product and engineering refinement to shape scope, acceptance criteria, and definitions of done.
  • Perform targeted exploratory testing on high-risk areas such as new features, edge cases, and partner-specific configurations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, clinical, and compliance stakeholders through shared ownership.
  • Establish principles, practices, and systems that make quality intrinsic to software development and release processes.
  • Use testing infrastructure and automation to increase engineering leverage and reduce manual validation overhead.

Requirements

  • Proven experience establishing or significantly evolving a QA function, including defining principles and changing team practices.
  • Strong technical fluency in test automation, CI/CD, and testing infrastructure.
  • Ability to build testing frameworks rather than only use existing tools.
  • Experience thinking in terms of systems, including risk models, failure modes, configuration matrices, and integration boundaries.
  • Ability to balance automation with exploratory testing and apply sound judgment on when each is appropriate.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and defining structure in a role with clear objectives but no playbook.
  • Experience working as a peer with engineers and product rather than in a downstream QA handoff role.
  • Strongly preferred: experience in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated industries where reliability, auditability, and documentation rigor are critical.
  • Strongly preferred: familiarity with clinical data standards or healthcare integrations such as FHIR, HL7, or CCDA.
  • Strongly preferred: experience testing highly configurable systems and validating AI/ML-assisted workflows.
