Description

  • Prospect and generate new business through outbound outreach, inbound lead follow-up, and local agricultural networking.
  • Conduct in-field sales conversations with ranchers and prospects in ranch settings, including on-site demonstrations and customer visits.
  • Expand existing customer relationships and identify upsell opportunities to grow account value over time.
  • Manage a territory pipeline, qualify opportunities, and balance current deals with future sales opportunities.
  • Maintain strong post-sale customer relationships to support satisfaction, resolve issues, and ensure ongoing value.
  • Own the end-to-end customer onboarding and deployment experience in partnership with internal teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for collecting and communicating field feedback from customers in your territory.
  • Collaborate with Support, Product, and Customer Onboarding teams to escalate issues and improve the customer experience.
  • Represent Halter at industry events, association meetings, cattle auctions, and local gatherings to generate leads and strengthen relationships.
  • Contribute field insights to help refine and improve the U.S. sales strategy and process.

Requirements

  • Experience in ranching, cattle operations, or a closely related agricultural environment.
  • Demonstrated success in sales and customer success, including new business generation and relationship building.
  • Experience managing a large territory with a balance of sales and customer success responsibilities.
  • Ability to negotiate value-based sales conversations and manage long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, results-driven attitude.
  • Resourcefulness and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams to solve customer issues.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the territory, approximately 75%.
  • Familiarity with precision agriculture or virtual fencing technologies is a plus.
  • Background in customer-facing roles within agriculture technology is preferred.
  • Experience selling SaaS or other B2B software solutions is a plus.
