Description

  • Prospect for new leads and opportunities through outreach, referrals, events, and inbound inquiries.
  • Manage the full sales pipeline from lead generation through to contract close.
  • Screen, qualify, demonstrate the product, and negotiate agreements with prospective customers.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support satisfaction and long-term account growth.
  • Own the customer experience through onboarding, deployment, and handoff from sales to implementation.
  • Provide ongoing support after the sale and help resolve customer challenges quickly.
  • Gather customer feedback in the field and share insights with Product, Support, and R&D teams.
  • Work cross-functionally with regional teams to address issues and improve Halter’s products and customer experience.
  • Manage a large territory with a balanced focus on sales growth and customer success.
  • Travel frequently throughout the Gippsland territory to engage with customers and prospects.

Requirements

  • Value-based sales experience with a strong track record of creating opportunities, closing deals, and building lasting customer relationships.
  • Experience growing accounts through post-sales value building and upselling.
  • Beef industry experience, or strong passion to learn beef operations quickly if not already experienced.
  • Ability to think critically and manage a large territory with appropriate trade-offs between sales and customer success.
  • Resourceful problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive, hands-on attitude and the ability to thrive under pressure and own results.
  • Frequent travel within the territory is required.
  • Based anywhere in the Gippsland region of Victoria, ideally Traralgon.
  • Experience working with farmers or agricultural customers is advantageous.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is preferred.
