Description

  • Prospect and source new leads through proactive outreach, referrals, industry events, and inbound queries to grow the customer base.
  • Manage the full sales pipeline from lead generation through contract negotiation and close to meet high-growth sales targets.
  • Perform post-sale account management to maintain customer satisfaction, resolve issues, and identify upsell opportunities to expand partnerships.
  • Own end-to-end customer onboarding and deployment to ensure smooth transitions from sales to implementation and maximize product value.
  • Operate as Halter’s on-the-ground representative with high territory ownership, building relationships with regional agricultural groups and beef industry stakeholders.
  • Travel frequently within the territory to meet farmers daily, demonstrate the product in the field, and support deployments.
  • Capture field learnings and customer feedback and share insights with Product, Support, and R&D teams to drive product improvements and innovation.
  • Partner with the Support Team to quickly resolve customer issues, escalate when needed, and ensure customers in the territory feel fully supported.

Requirements

  • Must live in the Poverty Bay/Gisborne region and be willing to travel frequently within the territory to meet customers and prospects.
  • Proven history as a high-performing, value-based salesperson with experience creating opportunities, closing deals, and upselling to grow partnerships.
  • Experience in customer success or post-sales value building and managing ongoing customer relationships.
  • Beef industry experience is preferred; if not, a strong appetite to rapidly learn farm operations and work hands-on with beef producers is required.
  • Ability to manage a large territory using critical thinking to balance sales and customer success priorities and make trade-offs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product, Support, R&D) to address customer challenges.
  • Resilient, proactive attitude with ownership mentality, ability to thrive under pressure, and demonstrable energy and passion in customer interactions.
