Description

  • Provide sales engineering support for new opportunities throughout the sales cycle.
  • Deliver remote technical support to partners and customers, including occasional out-of-hours assistance.
  • Support installations, reactive service work, and preventive maintenance for existing and new customers.
  • Maintain strong customer relations and communicate professionally with the call desk and management team.
  • Work toward a high first-time-fix rate and minimize repeat service calls.
  • Back up and assist the service team and other engineers to deliver service effectively.
  • Complete job documentation and administrative tasks such as permits to work, timesheets, expense claims, and ERP updates on time.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technology, equipment, and working practices.
  • Travel to other sites across the US as needed.
  • Conduct site walks and document the installed base in the field to support upselling, when time permits.

Requirements

  • Experience working independently as a service or installation technician.
  • Demonstrable experience working with turnstiles and electrical installations.
  • Ability to work with contractors and end users to provide product and installation support.
  • Knowledge of low- and high-voltage circuitry.
  • Knowledge of electronic security systems and access control systems.
  • Practical knowledge of the internet and networking.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Good mechanical knowledge.
  • Willingness to train on new and varying products.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to handle changing priorities and work under pressure.
  • Ability to solve problems independently and consult with colleagues, team leaders, and suppliers when needed.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel to clients for installations.
