Description

  • Help users and agents connect to and query data in Grafana quickly and effectively.
  • Ship design work quickly while balancing business priorities, customer needs, and technical constraints.
  • Provide strategic design input for high-impact initiatives, including large-scale design rollouts and workflow improvements.
  • Define and drive the Data Sources design vision with engineering, product management, technical writing, and GTM partners.
  • Execute and contribute to qualitative and quantitative research with researchers, customers, and the user community.
  • Translate research findings and data into clear, usable experiences that reduce complexity.
  • Develop deep expertise in the product area, customer personas, use cases, and workflows.
  • Document user needs, pain points, design directions, UX tradeoffs, and detailed feature designs.
  • Coach and mentor other designers and contribute to internal Product Design team initiatives.
  • Partner across squads within the Grafana division to solve complex product and design challenges.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant design experience on B2B or enterprise software products.
  • Experience designing tools and services for developers or other highly technical users is preferred.
  • Ability to synthesize business priorities, customer feedback, research insights, and technical considerations into scalable design solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple locations and time zones.
  • Experience running qualitative research in complex fields and building empathy with users.
  • Experience working in a fully remote, fast-paced environment with transparency and autonomy.
  • Ability to rapidly understand a technical domain and associated customer needs and workflows is a plus.
  • Domain knowledge or experience in observability, cloud infrastructure, or database monitoring, administration, and optimization is a plus.
  • Must be located in Ireland for this remote role.
  • Willingness to provide an application example of users completing tasks with minimal effort.
