Description

  • Influence the Alerting roadmap and set your own career objectives within the squad.
  • Work with the team to deliver new frontend features and iterate on them using production results.
  • Drive projects from initial ideation through development, release, and operational ownership.
  • Design, build, operate, and maintain critical frontend systems while owning their reliability, performance, and availability.
  • Participate in on‑call rotations and take ownership of services running in production.
  • Contribute to the Grafana open‑source codebase and other projects that may fall outside the team’s immediate scope.
  • Mentor and support other team members, participate in design discussions, and collaborate cross‑functionally with customers and Grafana Cloud teams.
  • Learn the cloud product and large distributed system codebase to inform improvements and customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • Experience building frontend applications with React and TypeScript.
  • Experience using Redux Toolkit and RTKQ for state management and HTTP requests.
  • Familiarity with the grafana/ui library and the Saga design system.
  • Experience styling React components with Emotion.
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests using Jest, React Testing Library, and MSW.
  • Familiarity with code quality and tooling such as Prettier, ESLint, and Webpack.
  • Experience working in a monorepo/workspace setup using NX and yarn.
  • Remote‑first working style with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and on distributed teams.
  • Willingness to participate in on‑call rotations and take operational responsibility for running services.
  • Comfort contributing to open‑source projects and collaborating directly with customers and cross‑functional teams; applicants in Sweden are explicitly welcome for this posting.
