Description

  • Develop and own the product vision and strategy for data collection, transformation, and ingestion across Grafana Cloud.
  • Align multiple engineering and product teams around clear priorities, tradeoffs, and a roadmap that balances customer value, platform leverage, operational excellence, and business impact.
  • Use customer research, product analytics, competitive insight, and business context to identify the highest-impact problems to solve.
  • Define how AI should influence the domain, including customer instrumentation, telemetry optimization, troubleshooting, and AI-assisted interaction patterns.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and prospects, especially technical buyers and observability practitioners.
  • Help GTM teams understand product differentiation, customer value, roadmap direction, AI relevance, and market positioning.
  • Coach and develop a team of Product Managers through strategy, prioritization, communication, stakeholder management, and career growth.
  • Create a high-accountability, high-trust environment for PMs and cross-functional partners.
  • Partner with senior R&D leaders to shape product and technical strategy across teams.
  • Communicate product direction, tradeoffs, and outcomes to senior leadership, customers, and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

  • Significant Product Management experience leading strategy across multiple teams, product areas, or complex technical workflows.
  • Experience directly managing Product Managers, including coaching, feedback, performance management, hiring, and career development.
  • Strong technical fluency in infrastructure, cloud platforms, observability, telemetry, data pipelines, high-scale databases, or related developer/infrastructure domains.
  • Strong product instincts around AI and the ability to identify meaningful customer value in technical products.
  • Strong customer empathy and strategic judgment to translate complex problems into product strategy, roadmap priorities, and tradeoffs.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills with Engineering, Design, Technical Writing, Developer Advocacy, Analytics, Product Marketing, GTM, and executives.
  • Ability to create clarity in ambiguity and operate effectively in a globally distributed, remote-first environment.
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana Alloy, Grafana Mimir, Grafana Loki, Grafana Tempo, and/or Grafana Pyroscope is a plus.
  • Experience with ETL, telemetry pipelines, large-scale data processing, or data transformation workflows is a plus.
  • Experience with high-scale databases, distributed systems, or big data platforms is a plus.
  • Experience building AI-enabled product experiences or agent-facing workflows for technical users is a plus.
  • Experience working at an open source or commercial open source company is a plus.
  • Experience partnering with GTM teams on positioning, packaging, pricing, launch strategy, or field enablement is a plus.

  • Base salary range in the UK: GBP 143,566 to 172,279.
