Description

  • Develop and own the product vision and strategy for data collection, transformation, and ingestion across Grafana Cloud.
  • Align product and technical strategy across multiple engineering teams and product areas.
  • Use customer research, product analytics, competitive insight, and business context to prioritize the highest-impact problems.
  • Define how AI should shape instrumentation, collection, telemetry transformation, cost control, data quality, querying, and ingestion troubleshooting.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and prospects, especially technical buyers and observability practitioners.
  • Partner with GTM teams on differentiation, customer value, roadmap direction, market positioning, and launch support.
  • Coach, develop, and manage a team of Product Managers, including helping with prioritization, communication, and career growth.
  • Create a high-accountability, high-trust environment for PMs and cross-functional teams.
  • Present strategy, tradeoffs, and outcomes to senior leadership and customers.
  • Support the evolution of Grafana Labs’ observability platform for metrics, logs, traces, profiles, and related telemetry signals.

Requirements

  • Significant Product Management experience leading strategy across multiple teams, product areas, or complex technical workflows.
  • Experience directly managing Product Managers, including coaching, feedback, performance management, hiring, and career development.
  • Strong technical fluency in infrastructure, cloud platforms, observability, telemetry, data pipelines, high-scale databases, or related developer/infrastructure domains.
  • Strong product instincts around AI and identifying customer value in technical products.
  • Strong customer empathy and strategic judgment with the ability to translate complex problems into roadmap priorities and tradeoffs.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills across Engineering, Design, Technical Writing, Developer Advocacy, Analytics, Product Marketing, GTM, and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to create clarity in ambiguity and operate effectively in a globally distributed, remote-first environment.
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana Alloy, Grafana Mimir, Grafana Loki, Grafana Tempo, and/or Grafana Pyroscope is a plus.
  • Experience with ETL, telemetry pipelines, large-scale data processing, or data transformation workflows, including sampling, filtering, enrichment, routing, or cost/performance optimization is a plus.
  • Experience with high-scale databases, distributed systems, or big data platforms is a plus.
  • Experience building AI-enabled product experiences for technical users is a plus.
  • Experience with agent-facing product design or AI-assisted workflows is a plus.
  • Experience working at an open source or commercial open source company is a plus.
  • Experience partnering with GTM teams on positioning, packaging, pricing, launch strategy, or field enablement is a plus.

  • Base compensation range in Canada of $257,370 CAD to $308,844 CAD.
