Description

  • Operate and improve threat detection across SIEM, EDR, and email security platforms.
  • Lead security incidents end to end, including scoping, containment, eradication, documentation, and post-incident remediation.
  • Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and coordinate handoffs with global team members.
  • Serve as the primary US-hours escalation point for active security events.
  • Execute vulnerability scanning, prioritize findings by risk, and drive remediation to defined SLAs.
  • Track and report exposure posture and contribute to external attack surface management.
  • Review security designs for new services and major changes, model threats, and negotiate practical mitigations.
  • Monitor identity telemetry, investigate anomalous access, and support access reviews and MFA enforcement.
  • Operate core security platforms, improve logging and alerting, and automate security operations workflows.
  • Support ISO 27001 evidence collection, control testing, and audit readiness.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of security engineering or security operations experience with ownership of detection, response, and security tooling.
  • Hands-on SIEM experience writing detection logic, tuning alerts, and building investigation workflows.
  • Experience with EDR platforms and endpoint threat detection and response.
  • Knowledge of email threats, including phishing, BEC, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
  • Understanding of identity and access management and experience investigating identity-layer threats.
  • Ability to communicate technical risk to engineering teams, non-technical stakeholders, and senior leadership.
  • Sound judgment and ability to resolve ambiguous security incidents under pressure.
  • Experience with vulnerability management platforms and risk-based prioritization frameworks (preferred).
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001 or similar compliance and audit frameworks (preferred).
  • Security-operations scripting or automation experience with Python or PowerShell; CySA+, CISSP, or CISM certification is a plus.
