Description

  • Write the first lines of production code and set the technical direction for the company.
  • Lead end-to-end execution of the product and engineering function as a co-founder.
  • Harden Ava’s voice and workflow systems for in-production reliability.
  • Establish core architecture, observability, and audit-trail standards.
  • Build the internal RaaS delivery layer to configure, monitor, and optimize AI performance without adding engineering headcount.
  • Own the trade-offs between AI quality and cost-per-call to support the $499/month pricing model.
  • Represent the company to lawyers, partners, and investors as the technical voice of the venture.
  • Convert pilots into paying customers and help expand the AI staff roadmap beyond the front desk.
  • Recruit and lead the founding engineering team and shape the company’s technical culture.

Requirements

  • Experience shipping LLM-powered and voice systems into production environments where errors had real consequences.
  • Full-stack confidence across applied LLMs, real-time voice and conversational AI, telephony, human-in-the-loop workflows, observability, and secure multi-tenant SaaS.
  • Strong convictions about reliability engineering, edge-case management, and balancing AI quality with cost-per-call.
  • Experience building managed and service-heavy platforms with the discipline to scale delivery without scaling engineering headcount.
  • Prepared to operate as a principal and push back when the product is not ready or will not scale.
  • Prior founder or early-stage technical leadership experience is strongly preferred.
  • Background in legal tech, healthcare, or another trust-sensitive vertical is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to self-host custom models to meet legal and privacy requirements is strongly preferred.
  • Resume, LinkedIn profile, and a brief note on why the venture aligns with your goals as a founder are required for application.
