Description

  • Own and evolve packaging creative vision and design strategy across Frida’s portfolio.
  • Translate brand strategy, consumer insights, product positioning, and business objectives into packaging concepts.
  • Lead packaging projects from ideation through refinement, production, quality control, and final release.
  • Establish scalable packaging design systems, principles, and standards.
  • Direct packaging creative for product launches, line extensions, refreshes, kits, and retail experiences.
  • Lead and develop packaging designers, art production talent, and external creative partners.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development, Operations, Regulatory, Sales, and other teams.
  • Guide global adaptations across countries, languages, formats, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee proofs, color and print quality, troubleshooting, and final production approvals.
  • Lead creative direction for in-store merchandising, displays, end caps, and other retail touchpoints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Packaging Design, or a related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive design experience, including significant packaging experience with consumer-facing brands; CPG experience preferred.
  • Portfolio demonstrating packaging design, brand storytelling, design systems, and creative thinking.
  • Experience leading packaging projects from concept through production and launch.
  • Experience managing, mentoring, and directing designers and production talent.
  • Deep knowledge of print processes, substrates, color management, prepress, file preparation, proofs, and production release.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Strong understanding of typography, photography, illustration, composition, color, and core design disciplines.
  • Ability to connect creative decisions to brand strategy, consumer needs, commercial objectives, and executional constraints.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organizational, multitasking, and creative judgment skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Candidates must reside in Florida, New York, California, Minnesota, Maryland, Iowa, Illinois, Arizona, New Jersey, or Massachusetts.
