Description

  • Design, own, and evolve the end-to-end software delivery system.
  • Ensure production signals such as failures, latency, and usage patterns are fed back into development and testing practices.
  • Design and implement progressive delivery strategies including feature flags, canary releases, and rolling or segmented deployments.
  • Define and enforce risk-based release practices while reducing change failure rate and increasing deployment frequency.
  • Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines and build automation that improves pipeline speed, reliability, and developer experience.
  • Build and maintain automated testing systems, including pre-merge validation, static analysis, and production validation.
  • Implement and evolve observability systems to detect failures, regressions, and performance anomalies.
  • Define, track, and improve delivery metrics such as deployment frequency, lead time for changes, change failure rate, and MTTR.
  • Lead adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices across test generation, CI/CD optimization, failure triage, and debugging.
  • Define and standardize quality, reliability, and delivery practices across engineering teams and partner with QA, SRE, product engineering, and leadership.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States.
  • Strong understanding of software delivery systems and failure modes.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright.
  • Experience with cloud environments, with AWS preferred.
  • Experience improving reliability in production systems.
  • Familiarity with observability platforms such as New Relic.
  • Proficiency in one or more languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP/Laravel, or Python.
  • Solid understanding of shift-left engineering and agile techniques.
  • Experience with progressive delivery techniques such as feature flags and canary releases is preferred.
  • Experience operating in high-scale SaaS environments is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Copilot, or Cursor is preferred.
  • Experience designing systems that optimize DORA metrics is preferred.
  • Experience working with large-scale enterprise clients and delivering secure, high-availability solutions is preferred.

  • Base salary range of $140,000 to $160,000.
