Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain defensive security controls for high-availability payment systems.
  • Guide engineering teams on security features, threats, exploitation methods, and risk trade-offs.
  • Maintain and expand security controls alongside the broader defensive security engineering team.
  • Advise platform and application engineers within the R&D organization on security matters.
  • Participate in the on-call rota for severe platform-impacting security tooling failures or second-line incident response support.
  • Support building and analysis of threat models using a defined process.
  • Contribute to building secure cloud architectures and align security approaches across teams.

Requirements

  • Strong Linux command-line proficiency.
  • Deep, current security engineering experience with the ability to defend opinionated security practices.
  • Proven track record of building multiple security controls used in large production environments.
  • Experience securing at least one public cloud, including essential security features and long-term hardening practices.
  • Solid grounding in Kubernetes security, with experience in complex, heavily customised multi-cluster environments preferred.
  • Background in software engineering at scale or strong appreciation for good engineering practices.
  • Willingness to join an on-call rota and respond to major security tooling failures or incidents.
  • Experience with offensive security, CTFs, red teaming, or penetration testing is desirable.
  • Experience developing security configurations across multiple public and private clouds is desirable.
  • Experience securing data centers and networking devices is desirable.
  • Experience with supply chain and CI/CD security, including risk-reduction patterns, is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Form3’s tech stack, including Golang and Terraform, is desirable.
