Description

  • Build and run defensive security controls for highly available multi-cloud payment systems.
  • Advise engineering teams on security features, threats, exploitation paths, and risk tradeoffs.
  • Prioritise and manage defensive security controls across the platform.
  • Maintain and expand security tooling and controls for the R&D platform environment.
  • Support wider platform and application engineers with security guidance and advice.
  • Participate in on-call support for severe security tooling failures and second-line incident response.
  • Develop and apply security hardening practices across cloud and Kubernetes environments.
  • Contribute to threat modelling and broader security decision-making across engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Strong command-line proficiency in Linux.
  • Current research and hands-on experience supporting clear, opinionated views on security practices and tradeoffs.
  • Kubernetes security expertise, including experience building complex, heavily customised multi-cluster environments.
  • Security expertise in at least one public cloud, including essential security features and long-term hardening practices.
  • Comfort with building systems using strong engineering practices; software engineering at scale is a plus.
  • Willingness to join the on-call rota for platform-impacting security incidents.
  • Interest in offensive security, including CTFs, red team, or penetration testing experience (desirable).
  • Experience developing security configurations across multiple public and private clouds (desirable).
  • Confident presenting security ideas and helping increase security awareness across engineering teams (desirable).
  • Experience supporting threat modelling using a well-defined process (desirable).
  • Experience securing data centres and networking devices (desirable).
  • Experience reducing supply chain and CI/CD security risk (desirable).
  • Experience with Form3’s tech stack, including Golang and Terraform (desirable).
