Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain defensive security controls for production payment systems.
  • Protect high-availability, multi-cloud environments built on modern technologies.
  • Guide engineering teams on effective security features and defensive security priorities.
  • Advise wider platform and application engineers on security best practices and risk trade-offs.
  • Maintain and expand security controls as part of the defensive security engineering team.
  • Support second-line security incident response when needed.
  • Participate in an on-call rota for severe platform-impacting security tooling failures.
  • Build and contribute to secure cloud architecture discussions and team alignment.
  • Support container and Linux security work, including research preparation for interview-stage topics.

Requirements

  • Strong command-line proficiency on Linux.
  • Current research and hands-on experience supporting opinionated views on security practices and trade-offs.
  • Proven security engineering experience building multiple security controls used in large production environments.
  • Security expertise in at least one public cloud, including core security features and long-term hardening practices.
  • Solid grounding in Kubernetes security, with experience in complex, heavily customised multi-cluster environments preferred.
  • Background in software engineering at scale or strong engineering practices.
  • Willingness to join an on-call rota for critical security tooling failures and incident response support.
  • Interest in offensive security, including CTFs, red team, or penetration testing experience preferred.
  • Experience building security configurations across multiple public and private clouds preferred.
  • Experience presenting security topics and increasing security awareness across engineering teams preferred.
  • Experience supporting threat modeling with a well-defined process preferred.
  • Experience securing data centers and networking devices preferred.
  • Experience reducing supply chain and CI/CD security risks preferred.
  • Experience aligned with Form3’s tech stack, including Golang and Terraform, preferred.
