Description

  • Build and run defensive security controls for highly available multi-cloud payment systems.
  • Advise engineering teams on beneficial security features and risk tradeoffs.
  • Prioritise and manage defensive security controls across the platform.
  • Support second-line security incident response when severe platform-impacting issues occur.
  • Participate in the on-call rota to respond to security tooling failures.
  • Maintain and expand security controls alongside the wider defensive security team.
  • Advise platform and application engineers within the R&D team on security matters.
  • Support the building and analysis of threat models using a defined process.

Requirements

  • Strong command-line proficiency on Linux.
  • Current research and experience that support well-formed opinions on security practices and tradeoffs.
  • Deep Kubernetes security expertise, including experience with complex, heavily customised multi-cluster environments.
  • Security expertise in at least one public cloud, including essential security features and long-term hardening practices.
  • Background in software engineering at scale or strong appreciation for good engineering practices.
  • Willingness to join the on-call rota for critical security tooling failures and incident response support.
  • Interest in offensive security, including CTFs, red team, or penetration testing experience (desirable).
  • Experience developing security configurations across multiple public and private clouds (desirable).
  • Confidence presenting security topics and driving security awareness across engineering teams (desirable).
  • Experience securing data centers and networking devices (desirable).
  • Experience reducing supply chain and CI/CD security risks (desirable).
  • Experience with Form3’s stack, including Golang and Terraform (desirable).
