Description

  • Design and develop abstracted data models following the Medallion (Bronze, Silver, Gold) concept and deploy them to production.
  • Use SQL and data transformation tools (e.g., DBT, Coalesce) to build, transform, and maintain data models.
  • Leverage Snowflake capabilities (data sharing, dynamic tables, RBAC, Notebooks, Workspaces, etc.) to provide reliable and efficient access to data models.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, business analysts, and end-users to gather requirements and translate them into useful data models and data products.
  • Translate and clean up legacy SQL logic and data models into a unified representation system.
  • Develop and maintain DAGs in Apache Airflow to orchestrate delivery of data products to internal and external partners.
  • Manage Snowflake and Airflow-related infrastructure using Terraform and support associated operational tasks.
  • Support ad-hoc data needs and perform other duties as assigned to ensure timely delivery and quality of data products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Computer Engineering, or equivalent required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in data engineering or software development; experience with banking/financial data preferred.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction and transformation and experience in data modeling with familiarity with Medallion concepts.
  • Required familiarity with data transformation tools such as Coalesce and DBT; experience developing DAGs in Apache Airflow.
  • Experience managing Snowflake infrastructure and related features; familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure management.
  • Familiarity with Data Vault architecture concepts (preferred) and with data governance and metadata management practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills; self-motivated, adaptable, able to multitask, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
