Description

  • Own platform modernization work and manage the transition from existing systems to new architecture safely.
  • Build and maintain back-end services, cloud infrastructure, and React front-end interfaces.
  • Use AI tools in the development workflow to write better code, catch issues earlier, and move faster.
  • Communicate timing, trade-offs, and risks clearly to stakeholders so Product can make informed decisions.
  • Lead thoughtful code reviews, provide honest feedback, and share knowledge to raise the team’s engineering standards.
  • Mentor teammates and help shape how the team works, not just what it ships.
  • Collaborate directly with users and internal stakeholders through a real feedback loop.
  • Apply strong judgment on when to move quickly and when to slow down to protect quality.
  • Design and ship changes that improve the platform without disrupting existing systems.

Requirements

  • Strong TypeScript skills across the stack, including back-end services, APIs, and front-end interfaces.
  • Real experience with cloud infrastructure, with AWS preferred.
  • Experience designing and operating distributed, event-driven systems.
  • Solid back-end fundamentals, including database design and API architecture.
  • Front-end experience, ideally with React.
  • Experience redesigning or migrating a production system.
  • Comfort using AI tools as part of a daily workflow for writing, reviewing, and design thinking.
  • Well-documented, well-tested coding practices with a focus on maintainable code.
  • Curiosity and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Experience owning services end to end.
