Description

  • Drive the strategy, design, and delivery of scalable data platforms for business intelligence, predictive analytics, and LLM capabilities.
  • Lead complex cross-functional projects that span multiple domain teams and support core platform data initiatives.
  • Provide senior technical leadership through architecture decisions, design reviews, and code reviews.
  • Drive adoption of Generative AI tools and coding agents to improve productivity, code quality, and innovation.
  • Partner with Product Management and Design to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a distributed team of software and quality engineers.
  • Own production health for team services, including on-call rotations, incident response, and post-incident reviews.
  • Lead operational excellence efforts to improve observability, resiliency, automation, and adherence to SLOs and enterprise SLAs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of professional software experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams of engineers building data pipelines and analytics applications.
  • Proven experience delivering customer-facing enterprise SaaS products at scale.
  • Strong hands-on or architectural experience with modern data platform tools such as Apache Airflow, dbt, Kafka, AWS Glue, AWS Redshift, AWS Sagemaker, AWS Dynamo, and AWS Quick Sight.
  • Strong knowledge of modern data architecture, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and TypeScript.
  • Knowledge of AI tools including Langchain, Open AI Agents, and MCP APIs.
  • Demonstrated success leading a data engineering team through complex, large-scope challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working in a startup environment.
  • Preferred: experience scaling and evolving enterprise SaaS platforms through growth or technical transformation.
  • Preferred: experience leveraging Generative AI tools and coding agents in software development workflows.
  • Preferred: exposure to HR Tech or other regulated enterprise domains.
