Description

  • Plan and conduct generative and evaluative user research with assistive-technology users on websites, web apps, mobile apps, and software.
  • Regularly engage with people with disabilities in interviews, demonstrating sensitivity, respect, and rapport-building.
  • Identify pain points, preferences, and behaviors from user interviews and record findings in a structured note-taking tool.
  • Analyze and synthesize research data to generate actionable insights and thematic recommendations.
  • Provide clear and timely project updates to Fable team members and stakeholders.
  • Maintain internal customer documentation and track deliverables via the project management system.
  • Collaborate with other Fable teams to coordinate participant recruitment and interview logistics.
  • Support and collaborate with other UX researchers on study design, research goals, hypotheses, and method selection.

Requirements

  • 1+ years facilitating user interviews on digital products in a UX research context.
  • Ability to define research goals, articulate hypotheses, and choose appropriate research methods.
  • Experience translating research findings into thematic, actionable insights.
  • Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor when interacting with participants.
  • Strong active listening, problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to organize and manage a large volume of tasks independently.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate apps and software and use structured note-taking/project tools.
  • Open-minded, curious about assistive technology and accessibility, and eager to learn.
  • Creative and adaptable approach to work in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Located in the Greater Toronto Area (Ontario) or British Columbia and able to work a PST schedule.
