Description

  • Collaborate with account managers and sales teams to identify customer needs and propose technical solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, trainings, technical assessments, proof-of-concept deployments, and architectural workshops for customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support for RFPs, RFIs, and solution proposals and act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key technical stakeholders at customer organizations and liaise between customers and product/engineering teams to provide feedback.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Extreme Networks hardware and software in the Customer Demo Lab to support demonstrations and validation activities.
  • Design and maintain layer 2/3 topologies including VLANs, routing, and IPv6 configurations, and configure core network services (DHCP, DNS, NTP, syslog) in the lab.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot lab network performance and stability, using CLI, SNMP, and packet analysis as needed.
  • Support automated testing frameworks and integrate network infrastructure into CI/CD pipelines where applicable; collaborate with product, QA, and development for feature validation and integration testing.
  • Manage lab operations including firmware upgrades and backups, physical cabling and racking, labeling, hardware inventory, licensing, documentation (topologies, IP plans, configs), and resource allocation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or network consulting.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking including switching/routing, wireless LAN, and cloud-managed networks.
  • Experience working with vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, or similar networking vendors.
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with experience using CLI, SNMP, and packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark).
  • Experience with network simulation and testing tools and comfort with both physical and virtual network environments.
  • Understanding of cloud-managed networking platforms and integration with security and automation workflows.
  • Vendor certifications demonstrating networking, wireless, access control, or cloud expertise are highly preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Network Engineer or Lab Engineer in a technical environment.
  • Fluent Japanese (native or business level) and proficient English (reading/writing/speaking).
