Description

  • Develop and execute a territory plan focused on prospecting industrial customers and generating profitable growth.
  • Visit customer facilities to understand operations, equipment, maintenance practices, and production priorities.
  • Identify root causes of customer problems and opportunities to improve reliability and uptime.
  • Build knowledge of ESR products, applications, alternatives, and services to recommend effective solutions.
  • Manage customer communication and follow-through from initial contact through delivery and after-sale support.
  • Coordinate inside sales, technical resources, and manufacturer partners while owning the customer experience.
  • Prepare solution-based proposals, negotiate terms, close business, and build long-term customer relationships.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline activity, forecasts, and follow-up.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of successful outside sales experience in an industrial or technical market.
  • Experience selling industrial equipment, electrical products, automation, MRO products, power transmission equipment, or related technical products.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect independently, open new accounts, and generate profitable business.
  • Technical curiosity and ability to understand operations, ask effective questions, and translate problems into solutions.
  • Strong urgency, accountability, responsiveness, communication, and follow-through.
  • Ability to independently manage a geographically defined, home-based territory.
  • CRM proficiency and ability to work with customers at all organizational levels.
  • Valid driver’s license, regular travel availability, and Indiana residency or willingness to relocate.
  • Experience with electric motors, variable frequency drives, gearboxes, or related products is preferred.
  • Existing Indiana industrial customer relationships and a record of meeting or exceeding sales and gross-profit goals are preferred.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $75,000–$100,000 with expected first-year total compensation of $110,000–$150,000.
  • Guaranteed minimum first-year total compensation starting at $100,000, determined individually.
  • Uncapped commission based primarily on gross profit, plus performance bonuses; mature territories may earn $150,000–$200,000 or more.
  • 100% employer-paid employee-only medical and dental premiums, with HSA or copay plans and employer-funded HRA support.
  • 401(k) with employer matching and profit-sharing contributions.
  • Paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, life insurance, and voluntary vision and supplemental coverage.
  • Reimbursement of reasonable business expenses plus a company-provided phone and laptop.
  • Potential company vehicle eligibility based on sustained sales performance.
