Description

  • Coordinate with external experts and contractors across multiple domains.
  • Support data projects by helping secure and license data and maintain compliance.
  • Organize events such as symposiums that bring together field experts.
  • Own external communication channels such as shared inboxes, triaging and responding to queries.
  • Provide operational support for new research initiatives and manage detailed logistics.
  • Break down new, undefined projects into manageable steps and help implement creative solutions.
  • Work with the team to clarify scope and responsibilities as initiatives evolve.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of prior work experience in roles with many moving parts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with direct and empathetic communication.
  • Comfort working in a startup-like, fast-moving environment.
  • Instinctively organized and conscientious with strong attention to detail.
  • Avid interest in AI developments and familiarity with current AI benchmarks and trends.
  • Ability to own projects without a clear playbook and handle complex challenges.
  • Ability to seek, incorporate, and give constructive feedback quickly.
  • Motivation to support Epoch AI’s mission of improving humanity’s understanding of AI development.
  • Professional-level English proficiency.
  • Willingness to travel for three retreats per year is preferred.
  • Candidates in UTC-4/5 overlap are preferred.
  • Interest in applying even without matching every listed qualification is encouraged.

Benefits

  • Annual salary of $95,000–$153,000 USD, depending on experience and location.
  • Fully remote work with flexible hours.
