Description

  • Support the monthly close process by preparing and posting recurring journal entries for payroll, 401(k), accrued expenses, commissions, interest, and depreciation.
  • Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations, including clearing accounts, fixed assets, inventory-related accounts, and other assigned accounts.
  • Partner with the IT Department to ensure fixed assets and computer equipment are accurately recorded, tracked, reconciled, and maintained.
  • Ensure depreciation calculations are accurate, timely, and properly supported by accounting policies and documentation.
  • Maintain cash burn reports, rate calculation files, and expense classifications across software, content creation, and other operating cost categories.
  • Review vendor costs, subscriptions, freelancer payments, and spend patterns to support procurement-related cost analysis and improvement opportunities.
  • Support inventory reconciliations by comparing accounting records with operational data, investigating variances, and coordinating corrections.
  • Validate affiliate platform transactions, balances, and commissions to ensure proper accounting treatment and reporting.
  • Prepare management and financial reports and ensure the accuracy and consistency of QuickBooks Online entries.
  • Coordinate with global finance teams, leadership, and external consultants while supporting ad hoc analysis and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA Inter or equivalent Indian qualification preferred.
  • 5-7 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online (QBO) and advanced MS Excel functions.
  • Experience handling statutory audits, tax filings, and monthly close processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions and time zones.
  • Background in a fast-paced industry such as e-commerce or digital marketing is a plus.
  • Startup experience is preferred.
