Description

  • Lead the monthly close process and deliver timely, accurate statutory and US GAAP financial reporting for the Mexico entity.
  • Administer banking, payments, and cash controls, including bank platform management, approved payment runs, and AML/KYC compliance.
  • Serve as the principal contact for external audits and drive timely resolution of audit findings and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate tax, payroll, and statutory compliance with external advisers and local authorities to ensure accurate, on-time filings.
  • Monitor working capital and cash conversion by tracking DSO, DPO, DSI, and related KPIs and initiating action plans with site and commercial leaders.
  • Own the budgeting, forecasting, and decision-analysis planning calendar, including templates, sensitivity analysis, and leadership briefings.
  • Coordinate inventory control and audit activities with site and logistics teams, including cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and annual inventory counts.
  • Maintain local administrative records, corporate registers, ERP documentation, and document-retention integrity.
  • Enforce internal controls and regulatory compliance by testing key controls, documenting evidence, and remediating gaps.
  • Ensure contractual and governance documentation aligns with corporate legal and finance standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • BS in Accounting or equivalent experience; MBA, CPA, or Chartered Accountant preferred.
  • ERP proficiency, with JD Edwards E1 preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables.
  • Familiarity with KPI reporting and dashboards.
  • Experience as a local controller or finance manager in distributor or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience working with third-party payroll and statutory providers.
  • Prior experience working for a company that imports goods from the US.
  • Fluent Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican statutory reporting requirements, banking regulations, and applicable laws in the Querétaro region.
