Description

Develop, maintain, and evolve UI components and primitives that power Dropbox’s design system.
Design and build AI-powered tooling and agent-driven workflows that accelerate design-to-code processes.
Partner with designers to translate design intent into reusable, high-quality code and automated workflows.
Contribute to the architecture and strategy for AI-native UX development, including LLMs, agents, and automation.
Prototype and productionize new concepts that explore the future of design systems.
Embed accessibility and inclusivity standards into components and AI-assisted workflows.
Write clear documentation for both human users and AI agents.
Participate in code reviews, design critiques, and technical discussions to raise quality.
Troubleshoot issues raised by internal teams and improve system reliability and usability.
Experiment with emerging AI technologies and turn findings into practical tooling improvements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of front-end development experience, including work on a design system or shared UI platform.
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience in modern frameworks such as React and component-driven development.
Experience building scalable, maintainable front-end architecture for complex applications.
Hands-on experience integrating or building AI/ML-powered tools, such as LLM APIs, agent frameworks, or automation pipelines.
Solid understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG and ARIA, and how to implement them in reusable systems.
Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners across design, product, and engineering.
Experience designing or building AI-native developer tools, agent-based systems, or generative UI workflows (preferred).
Track record of contributing to large-scale design systems or platform teams in fast-paced environments (preferred).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, package publishing, and testing strategies such as unit, visual, and integration testing for UI systems and component libraries (preferred).
