Description

  • Assess risk and severity for complex or sensitive claims and recommend next steps.
  • Own high-severity escalations through resolution, coordinating with Legal, Risk & Insurance, Actuarial, and Quality Assurance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for Claims Specialists.
  • Identify incident patterns, root causes, and process, policy, or workflow gaps.
  • Use, build, and scale AI-enabled tools and automation while providing frontline feedback.
  • Review casework, provide quality feedback, and help address team skill gaps.
  • Develop training materials, playbooks, and process documentation.
  • Support the team through process, tool, and policy changes with a solution-oriented approach.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on claims operations experience, such as bodily injury, property, Commercial Auto, General Liability, or Workers’ Compensation.
  • Experience assessing risk and severity for high-value or sensitive claims.
  • Strong risk-assessment skills, including the ability to evaluate exposure and determine when to escalate.
  • Experience mentoring or informally guiding less experienced Claims Specialists.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis and corrective-action recommendations.
  • Experience using, building, or scaling AI-enabled tools and automation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with external carrier and TPA partners.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly.
  • Highly solution-oriented and adaptable approach to organizational change.
