Description

  • Serve as the technical leader for the Ads platform organization and provide architectural direction across the full ads stack.
  • Define long-term technical strategy and multi-year roadmaps for systems supporting the advertising business.
  • Drive alignment across Machine Learning, Infrastructure, Product, Data Science, and engineering stakeholders.
  • Mentor engineers across the Ads organization to raise technical excellence and systems thinking.
  • Define patterns, principles, and standards for designing, shipping, and operating large-scale distributed systems.
  • Solve complex distributed systems problems in ads and contribute code on critical technical challenges.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to scale foundational systems and deliver high-impact platform outcomes.
  • Influence organizational priorities and shape the engineering culture across the Ads org.

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of industry experience leading large-scale, high-impact platform initiatives across multiple teams and systems.
  • Proven ability to define and drive multi-year technical roadmaps as an organization-level technical lead.
  • Deep expertise in distributed systems at scale, including real-time serving infrastructure, high-throughput data pipelines, and low-latency systems under strict SLA requirements.
  • Meaningful experience in ads infrastructure or an adjacent domain.
  • Ability to operate at director-level scope while remaining deeply hands-on.
  • Strong technical intuition with cross-functional influence and alignment skills.
  • Humility and a growth mindset, with a collaborative leadership style.
