Description

  • Develop technical and business solutions that help engineers improve the quality and reliability of the product features and systems they build.
  • Drive reliability improvements across core infrastructure, including production clusters, networking, databases, and observability systems.
  • Champion best practices in code reviews, technical design reviews, and launch plan reviews.
  • Own incident management and fire drill processes.
  • Work with engineering leadership to set reliability goals and prioritize production work.
  • Build automation and technical guardrails that support infrastructure and operational quality.
  • Shape the company’s reliability practices as an early member of the Infrastructure team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in production/site reliability engineering, or 5+ years of server-side software engineering with interest in core infrastructure.
  • Solid understanding of at least two of the following: public cloud infrastructure, Linux systems administration, and DevOps tooling.
  • Basic coding skills for automation and technical guardrails.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Experience mentoring engineers through code reviews, architecture discussions, and leadership.
  • Experience with TypeScript, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, or Terraform is preferred.
  • Ability to make strategic decisions and teach/advice colleagues is valued.
  • Remote/hybrid availability is relevant to the role.
