Description

  • Design, build, and maintain Ruby on Rails applications powering the Decile Hub platform.
  • Implement polished, user-facing front-end features using Turbo/Hotwire/Stimulus, Tailwind (or similar CSS libraries), and JavaScript.
  • Take projects from concept to production ownership, including requirements, implementation, and iteration with end users.
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and stakeholders via Zoom and Slack to define and deliver features.
  • Deploy, monitor, and maintain services on cloud platforms (AWS or Google Cloud) as needed.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, triage issues, and prioritize work to deliver high-impact results.
  • Mentor and share knowledge with teammates, and participate in code reviews and open-source collaboration (VC Lab tech is open source).

Requirements

  • 3+ years of coding experience with emphasis on front-end development.
  • Proficiency with Ruby on Rails or another open-source web stack.
  • Strong front-end skills with Turbo/Hotwire/Stimulus, JavaScript, and Tailwind (or another CSS library).
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS or Google Cloud).
  • Ability to own a project and collaborate directly with end users and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable communicating clearly in written and spoken English and working remotely via Zoom/Slack.
  • Must live and work within a few time zones of Pacific (California) time.
  • Willingness to complete a Rails coding challenge as part of the interview process.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.
