Description

  • Develop comprehensive installation and startup plans and timelines for new builds, upgrades, and process improvement projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project readiness, installation quality, and timeline adherence.
  • Manage bidding, procurement, and delivery of process equipment and utilities, and track installation milestones from procurement through commissioning.
  • Specify, source, and evaluate suppliers for equipment such as autoclaves, wash lines, boilers, compactors, air compressors, and conveyance systems.
  • Verify installation drawings, submittals, and field changes to maintain design intent and ensure integration with site utilities (steam, air, water, electrical).
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and control system integration with site utilities and facility infrastructure.
  • Develop and execute commissioning plans, functional tests, and performance verification; lead startup activities and operator training.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize system performance during startup and early operation and provide documentation handover and as-built records.
  • Support maintenance team with CMMS implementation and maintain detailed installation, commissioning, and compliance documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, process equipment installation, or industrial facility construction; general contracting experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing projects from permitting through startup and coordinating contractors and vendors during equipment and utility installation.
  • Experience in regulated or safety-sensitive industries (medical waste, pharmaceutical, chemical processing) preferred.
  • Strong ability to read and implement construction drawings and verify submittals and field changes.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems, utilities (steam, air, water, electrical), industrial installation practices, and equipment commissioning.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance standards including OSHA, NFPA, and local building codes.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, cross-functional coordination, and project management skills; able to manage multiple concurrent projects remotely.
  • Detail-oriented problem-solver with decision-making skills and the ability to lead operator training and documentation handover.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% to support site preparation, contractor oversight, and commissioning.

Benefits

  • Salary range $90,119 - $110,109 per year (actual package based on candidate factors and location).
  • Total compensation may include an annual performance bonus and other applicable incentive compensation plans.
  • Role is fully remote, with travel (up to 50%) required to support site work.
  • Eligible for company benefits as part of the total compensation package (details provided during hiring process).
