Description

  • Maintain and update financial records in Xero.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Monitor overdue creditors and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Handle Gmail inbox management and coordinate calendars for installations and site work.
  • Schedule flooring installations and track job progress.
  • Complete monthly administrative tasks and reporting.
  • Process orders and invoices in the company’s internal sales system.
  • Coordinate stock ordering and ensure materials are ready for upcoming installations.
  • Liaise internally to support a smooth workflow from sale to installation.
  • Conduct customer check-in calls, follow up on project progress, and record call outcomes in internal systems.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of proven bookkeeping experience.
  • Experience using Xero with AU clients in construction, flooring, or trades-based businesses or similar industries.
  • Xero experience is non-negotiable.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Gmail and Google Calendar.
  • Experience using an internal sales and invoicing system is required; training will be provided.
  • Ability to use a VoIP system for access to a New Zealand phone number.
  • Excellent communication skills, including comfort speaking with customers by phone.
  • Familiarity with job scheduling and stock coordination is a strong advantage.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
