Description

  • Architect and lead delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions on a predictable cadence.
  • Write scalable, reusable code that adapts to changing requirements.
  • Build patient-facing applications and internal tools that support business scale.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues and help maintain production system health.
  • Build domain expertise to inform solution design within the business context.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and represent engineering perspectives to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Model and uphold strong technical, cultural, and process standards for the team.
  • Mentor, coach, and empower mid-level and senior engineers to improve their craft.
  • Define and deliver well-scoped project milestones and make autonomous decisions within your area of expertise.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience in a full-stack, frontend, or backend software engineering role delivering production-ready code.
  • Experience with Shopify Plus, including migration to the Shopify Plus platform.
  • Experience with Shopify headless implementation using Hydrogen and Oxygen frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure or DevOps-related tasks.
  • Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, SQL, JavaScript, React or similar modern front-end frameworks, and CSS-in-JS styling approaches.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as design, product, and data science.
  • Experience with architectural patterns for large, high-scale applications, including APIs and database schemas.
  • Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, and modern engineering workflows.
  • Demonstrated leadership in defining and delivering project milestones.
  • Ability to make autonomous decisions aligned with overall strategy.
  • Remote work is available, with preference for candidates near or willing to travel to the Los Angeles or San Diego hubs.
