Description

  • Develop backend software for features and projects involving data ingest, processing, and routing through APIs and services.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain robust code that delivers customer outcomes.
  • Partner with engineers, designers, and product managers to turn feature specifications into implementable designs and code.
  • Create detailed test plans and comprehensive automated tests to validate product features.
  • Own software end to end, including participation in on-call and support rotations.
  • Contribute to technical direction for the Core Platform and help improve internal tools, technologies, and processes.
  • Take initiative to support team goals and contribute beyond core job duties.
  • Participate in stand-by, on-call, or off-hours support as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Solid computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, basic networking, and operating systems concepts.
  • Experience building products that leverage large-scale data sets using Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems and scalability principles.
  • Experience with systems-level debugging, networking, performance profiling, and tuning.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and root cause complex problems.
  • Experience working in Agile processes and rapid iterative development.
  • Strong sense of ownership and focus on high-quality, high-performing deliverables.
  • Experience developing software or services for cloud-based platforms.
  • Ability to comply with U.S. government security requirements for access to FedRAMP-authorized systems, which may include U.S. citizenship.
