Description

  • Own the territory P&L, including new business and renewal revenue targets and loss ratio goals.
  • Develop and execute territory-specific go-to-market strategies and campaigns aligned with budget objectives.
  • Use data analytics to identify growth opportunities, market trends, and operational improvements.
  • Translate company goals into territory-level initiatives, underwriting strategy, and resource allocation decisions.
  • Oversee underwriting support and account management to help achieve territory budget targets.
  • Onboard, train, coach, and mentor Risk Engineers to improve individual and team performance.
  • Set individual targets for team members and provide ongoing underwriting guidance and escalation support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail and wholesale brokers to drive new business and renewal growth.
  • Gather market intelligence from brokers to inform product development and market positioning.
  • Partner with product, underwriting, sales operations, and other cross-functional teams to improve reporting, forecasting, processes, and customer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 10+ years of work experience in professional liability and/or management liability.
  • Experience at an (re)insurance broker or carrier, or in a related field, is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and project management ability with strong business judgment.
  • Experience executing strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Highly organized, systematic approach to identifying and solving problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to discuss contractual, technical, financial, and value-related topics with partners and internal teams.
  • Self-directed, self-motivated, and able to work with limited oversight.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is preferred.
  • Interest in risk management industries is preferred.

  • Estimated base salary range of $180,000 to $250,000.
